Within the context of the upcoming French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Mr. Jean-Michel Blanquer, French Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, has the privilege and the pleasure of inviting you to the online conference “Getting Europe moving!”, 19 January afternoon.
The mobility of young Europeans contributes to the future of Europe. It lies at the very heart of the construction of European identity and forges our common values. Therefore the experience of mobility must become an obvious choice and an opportunity for as many people as possible.
Based on feedbacks from young people, school teachers and learners, companies who have experienced or organised European mobility projects, the aim of the conference will be to give new impetus to mobility although it has been recently constrained by the health crisis. The event will be an opportunity to reflect on the means required to make mobility more inclusive. It will also help create an environment of trust between our respective education systems, by promoting mutual recognition of the benefits of mobility for young Europeans.
Following this conference, 2 other events will be held online: a ministerial conference specifically devoted to the mobility of apprentices on the morning of 20 January 2022, and the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Erasmus in the afternoon of 20 January.
