As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games draw near, the French Institute in Finland invites you to discover on June 10, online, the innovative research efforts driving sport sciences and among others high-performance sports in France and Finland.
Exactly a century after the last Paris Olympic Games, where Finland achieved an impressive 2nd place and France 3rd, both nations continue to push the boundaries of athletic excellence. From the realms of physiology, neuroscience, materials engineering, physics, and mathematics, researchers collaborate closely with sports federations to tailor training programs, prevent injuries, enhance equipment, optimize technique, and bolster mental preparation.
Explore the French and Finnish approaches through the eyes of the researchers themselves, in a scientific communication competition. Each candidate researcher will have 300 seconds to share with you their research and its impact.
The competition will take place online and in English on June 10, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Paris time) / 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Helsinki time).
