Whether you are a complete beginner or at an advanced level, whether you live in Helsinki or are unable to physically come to the French Institute, you will find a course for you! The French Institute has courses from all ages starting from the age of 3. Our dynamic group sizes guarantee an efficient learning experience in a nice atmosphere.

All the French Institute’s students have free access to the media library, which has the largest selection of Francophone books, magazines and films for all levels and ages. You can also borrow a DVD player if you wish to borrow films.

The French Institute of Finland manages the exams in Finland for obtaining the DELF and DALF language certifications, the official diplomas of the French State (Ministry of National Education), as well as the language tests of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (French Evaluation Test).

At the French Institute, you’ll benefit from preparation courses and personalized advice that will help you choose your exam and level.

Our courses are offered in a blended format*: you can come in person or attend them remotely from anywhere if you are unable to come in person. It’s convenient in case of unexpected events or if you live far from Helsinki!

If you live far from Helsinki, the French Institute also offers 100% online courses.
