States of Matter – Body and Sound

Elena Waclawiczek and Yoram Rosilio come from different media and different countries, for a residency in Koli/North Karelia. 

Yoram Rosilio is a french musician, composer and sound artist. 

Elena Waclawiczek is an austrian visual artist and choreographer.

In their different working methods, in connection with their respective media and personalities, a dialogue is established. 

During a three-week residence in Koli/North Karelia, surrounded by one of the most impressive winter landscapes of the country, the two artists explore the relations between matter, sound and body.

After three weeks of creation, and an intense dive into the Finnish winter, Elena Waclawiczek and Yoram Rosilio offer a time to share and reflect on their respective and common achievements.

This opening will be divided into three stages:

A time of presentation of the pieces produced during this residency.
A time for exchange and discussion with the public
A performance time of multidisciplinary music and dance improvisation.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy.
