The DocPoint Documentary Film Festival in Helsinki is the largest and only festival in Finland dedicated to non-fiction films. The 2025 edition will feature over a hundred of the best creative documentaries from around the world, including 12 French productions or co-productions:

In addition to screenings, we invite you to join a discussion with the director of “Writing Hawa,” Najiba Noori, on February 8th! The discussion will take place at the Bio Rex Lasipalatsi cinema after the screening of “Writing Hawa,” which will begin at 14:45. Writing Hawa is a French-Dutch-Qatari co-production that tells the story of the women in Najiba Noori’s Afghan family as they embark on self-education in hopes of a better future.

You can purchase your tickets for the screenings on the DocPoint website. We also remind you of the opportunity to win free tickets by participating in the Instagram contest of the French Institute of Finland before January 31st!
