Founded in Brussels and no stranger to world’s concert halls, the Akhtamar quartet will arrive to perform a concert that will give hope and strength to all after some very difficult years. They will begin by performing a work that has become a cornerstone of their repertoires, the “Miniatures” of Komitas, arranged by Sergei Aslamazyan: a series of miniatures from Armenia and the Caucasus. Then the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra’s own Laura Martin joins them on stage to perform the greatest of chamber music masterpieces: Schubert’s immortal cello quintet.
