French cinema

IFcinéma offers professionals a selection of the best of French cinema in all its variety – great classics and recent productions, in all genres and formats. Each year, it acquires non-commercial public screening rights for about 100 French films, some recent and some from previous decades.

Cinémathèque Afrique

The Cinémathèque Afrique is responsible for preserving, promoting and disseminating the cinema production of African countries. It was set up in 1961 by the Ministry of Cooperation and has played a leading role in promoting African cinema worldwide for over 50 years. Its collection of African films from 1960 to the present is one of the most comprehensive in the world, and it is helping safeguard African cinema heritage by restoring and digitizing its archive. The Cinémathèque Afrique offers programmers a catalogue of over 1,700 films, over 600 of which are rights free for non-commercial screenings and can be ordered via IFcinéma.
