Since the early 2000s, pianist and composer Andy Emler, double bassist Claude Tchamitchian, and drummer Eric Echampard have been exploring a universe between composition and improvisation together as a trio.
This year, from March 13 to 19, this French trio will be touring Finland for six concerts, offering a chance to discover excerpts from their new album There is another way. The group will perform in Seinäjoki, Äänekoski, Kajaani, Joensuu, Savonlinna, and will conclude their tour with a final concert on March 19 at the Malmitalo Cultural Center in Helsinki. For this last concert, Finnish accordionist Veli Kujala will join them to perform a few pieces from the French chanson repertoire.
With the French Institute of Finland, you can enjoy a reduced ticket price for the Malmitalo concert (standard ticket €15 instead of €20). On the online ticket sales, simply select the reduced price and inform the staff at the entrance that you purchased your ticket through the French Institute of Finland.
